- Do not overheat the adhesive. Do not heat it above 180℃ without the supplier’s permission;
- Do not mix different types of hot melt adhesive;
- Keep the area around the hot melt adhesive machine clean and tidy at all times;
- Wear gloves and a safety mask or goggles when adding hot melt adhesive or performing maintenance and cleaning. Carefully add the adhesive to avoid splashing and causing burns;
- Add adhesive regularly to maintain the liquid level. A low liquid level can easily cause splashing during refilling, leading to burns;
- Keep a bucket of cold water near the hot melt adhesive machine for immediate immersion in case of burns to minimize injury;
- Position the hot melt adhesive and surrounding equipment as low as possible, ideally below eye level;
- If the hot melt adhesive machine is too high, install a platform to facilitate operation.
